3、拼音中调号的标记 Tone marks in pinyin
1) 当韵母i上有调号的时候,i上的点省略。比如:tuī ,píng
the dot over the final 'i' should be omitted when it has a tone mark over it. e.g. tuī ,píng
2) 如果一个韵母包含三个元音或者两个元音和一个结尾的辅音,那么调号应该标在第二个元音上。比如:liáo ,kuài ,jiāng
If a final includes three vowels, or two vowels and a final consonant, the tone mark should be placed over the second vowel.e.g. liáo ,kuài ,jiāng
3) 如果一个韵母包含两个元音且没有辅音,那么调号应该标在第一个元音上,除非第一个元音是i或者u。比如:hǎo ,gěi ,lóu ,jiā ,duō
If a final includes two vowels and no final consonant, the tone mark should be placed over the first vowel unless the first vowel is 'i' or 'u',e.g. hǎo ,gěi ,lóu ,jiā ,duō
4、拼写规则 Spelling rules
1) 当‘i’行与‘ü’行的韵母前面没有声母的时候,写成以下的形式:
When finals begin with 'i' or 'ü' without preceding initials ,they should be written as:
i---yi in---yin ing---ying
ia---ya iao---yao ian---yan iang---yang ie---ye
iou---you iong---yong
ü---yu üe---yue üan---yuan ün---yun
2) 当‘u’行的韵母前面没有声母的时候,写成以下形式:
When finals begin with 'u' without preceding initials ,they should be written as:
u---wu
ua---wa uai---wai uan---wan uang---wang
uo---wo uei---wei uen---wen ueng---weng
3) ‘ü’行韵母跟j、q、x相拼的时候,头上两点省略。
When ‘ü’ follows 'j、q、x' directly, the two dots over ‘ü’ should be omitted.
jü---ju jüe---jue jüan---juan jün---jun
qü---qu qüe---que qüan---quan qün---qun
xü---xu xüe---xue xüan---xuan xün---xun
4) ‘i’ 在‘zhi,chi,shi,ri,zi,ci,si’中不发音。
‘i’ in 'zhi,chi,shi,ri,zi,ci,si’ is not pronounced. In this case,'i' is used for spelling purpose only.
