I'm a professional English teacher. I have a TEFL qualification and I have been teaching since 1999. My career started in Japan where I was a conversational English teacher. Within a year I had become the headmaster of a private English school serving 400 students. In 2014 I returned to the UK where I established an online presence. In 2016 I became an MBA consultant preparing students for the rigorous admissions test and interview. If you are preparing for the VIVA interview, I can help with that too. I'm a published author with many years experience proofreading. I'd be happy to have a look at your essays. I am very patient, and you can ask me all the questions you want, as many times as you want, until you understand very well. Let me know what you need and how I can help you, and I will be here for you. I will do my best to help you achieve your goals of becoming fluent in English. I'll introduce a bit more information about me. I am British and I live in Bournemouth. I'm a B1 speaker of Japanese. After a career in the civil service in England, I travelled to New Zealand where I resided for 8 years. I attended university there and studied computer science at Massey University. In New Zealand and then moved into the private sector where I gained experience in the technology market and the insurance industry. In 1998, I resumed my education and took a CELTA course to pursue a dream of teaching English in Japan. After gaining some experience in a school in Saitama, I opened my own schools in Chiba and Tokyo and became a registered Japanese corporation. I employed 10 Japanese support staff and several foreign teachers. I ran those schools for 16 years and taught hundreds of students of all ages and levels. In my downtime, I like to watch movies and read books. I’m the author of the book Fluency Secrets and I’m writing some new books on English language study. I love mountain biking, running and swimming. One day I would like to do a triathlon. See you online!
Hi, my name is Jasna and I have been a teacher here on Verbling since 2016. How would you like to learn to speak English from a native speaker? I was raised and educated in Australia where I did a lot of voluntary work as a translator helping new migrants settle in to their new country. I also helped a lot of children adjust to learning in their new English speaking schools. I am now living my European dream and often work with local businesses and non-profit organizations with translation services. But my favorite work is tutoring young students with English to help further their education or for when they decide to travel abroad. In 2016 I completed IELTS Academic Exams with a CEFR C1 result so I can offer first hand advice on what to expect with these much sought after exams. My career in Australia was mainly centered around Finance & Administration, including my own business, which means I have had many years of practice perfecting business communication skills. Whether you would like to learn how to speak English as a hobby, to travel, for study or to communicate better with your business partners I would love to help you achieve your goals. My approach to teaching English is with regular practice and conversations. My hours are flexible and if the standard hours I have set do not meet your requirements, please send me a message and I will do my best to arrange and make available a time that will be suitable for both of us. I hope to be speaking with you soon.

When I'm not teaching, I enjoy travelling, taking photos, walking my dog, and I love cooking for my friends and family. If you would like to improve your English, I would love to help you. I hope to speak with you soon. Emma :-)
*** CURRENTLY TAKING ON NEW STUDENTS*** My name is Chris, I’m from London, England, and I love teaching English as a foreign language! I'm a professional teacher who has been teaching since 2012 and I want to make your English learning experience unique and get you to fluency as quickly as possible. After years of experience, research and listening to student’s feedback, I believe that there are 5 principles that make you learn languages fast and effectively: 1. CUSTOMISATION - Learn what you want to learn and get personalised feedback from a professional at the end of a class and in a video within 24 hours of your class. 2. MAKING MISTAKES WITH DELAYED ERROR CORRECTION - Build up your confidence and fluency and find out what wasn’t correct later. Repeat your corrected sentences and vocabulary after class with an audio track. 3. MAXIMISING SPEAKING TIME - Maximise your precious class time by speaking as much as possible and get to fluency more quickly. 4. MOTIVATION - Keep your excitement for learning and avoid those moments when you feel bored of learning. 5. ACCELERATED LEARNING TECHNIQUES - Let me use my skills, activities and games to make your progress quickly in an area of English you are weak in. I’d love to see you in a class if you are considering taking classes with me, and I’d be very happy to help you on your journey into the world English. I’ve had some wonderful first classes and met so many great people throughout the world since I’ve started teaching online, and I’d be delighted if you were one of them. Most people understand what the trial lesson is, but it’s not always clear to everyone. Please just look at the points below to check you know what you are booking. Before your first session starts please consider the following: - Using a microphone with earphones or a headset will give much better sound quality to your lesson. Using computer speakers will probably result in echoing. - Google Chrome seems to be the best browser for Verbling Video. - Doing a test call on Skype with a friend or family member will give you a good idea of how strong your connection is, and if it is sufficient for a class on Verbling. If the speech isn't clear, try turning off the camera. If the speech still isn't clear, try to reconnect. If you are still having problems, upgrade your internet connection. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- THE TRAIL LESSON IS: - A 30 minutes introduction class. - An opportunity for you to see how the lessons work. - An opportunity for you to ask me any questions. - A way for us to create a plan for your learning goals. - A way to test your internet connection - Occasionally the connection can be problematic for some new online students. - A way to get to know each other. THE TRIAL LESSON IS NOT: - A cheap way for you to get your CV or written work corrected. - A lesson which is focussed on the areas in which you need to improve. - A cheap way to get a 30-minute conversation class with the active intention of not continuing. Of course, if you decide that I am not the right teacher after the class and you wish to find another teacher then that is perfectly fine. N.B. I exercise the right to accept or refuse to give lessons to certain individuals.
Hello. I'm Patrick, a professional/qualified English and ESL teacher with almost 20 years of experience teaching students of all ages and backgrounds. I can help you with the following (and much more): test preparation; pronunciation and grammar assistance; accent reduction; meaningful conversations with vocabulary assistance; Business and Academic English; reading and writing comprehension and practice. I look forward to being able to help you in your learning journey with lessons tailored to your individual needs, as we work together to improve your skills and confidence in using English. Learning can be both challenging and interesting at the same time, so I personalize a lesson as much as possible. My style is based on patience and instructional scaffolding, just as I would do in my classes in a formal school, so learners of all abilities always have a chance to improve as we gradually and methodically develop your vocabulary, comprehension, pronunciation, and grammar skills, as well as your abilities in reading, writing, and listening. At the same time, classes move quickly once either a foundation for learning has been established or work has been mastered, using a mix of discussions and questions, listening and writing exercises, activities from various textbooks, pronunciation practice, vocabulary building work, and presentations of various types. So, if you need help studying or a test or to succeed in your chosen field of work, would like to improve your abilities as a beginning student, or simply want to have a chat to maintain and improve your conversational abilities, I look forward to hearing from you soon! * I also teach lessons for classes of students, so please feel free to ask about this, and other teaching options, if you are interested.
